Here are many planting combinations:

Good pot of annuals

This colourful combination of plants is brilliant especially if you have a wide colour range of the following three species:

  • Non trailing petunias
  • Begonias (not tuberous)
  • Busy Lizzies

Good perennial pot

This pretty mix is rather surprising as it comes back year after year, and as long as you have a range of colours of the following:

  • Pansies
  • Petunias
  • Small thyme plants (for leaf shape and colour)
  • Small oriental poppies

Good bulb mix

This requires a large cuboid pot, and it is delightful in spring. I will show you the place that they are reccomended in the pot in brackets. Here are the plants and they can be in ANY colour you want:

  • Grape hyacinths (preferably planted at the front of the pot)
  • Hyacinths (in the middle)
  • Crocus (at the front)
  • Medium sized alliums (at the back)
  • Tulips (at the front, back or middle, depending on size)
  • Large Daffodils (at the back)
  • Miniature daffodils also called Narcissus (in the middle)

Herb mix

An aromatic pot that will enhance any garden. The cress can fill any gaps, even though it is not a herb.

The plants:

  • Thyme
  • Small lavender plants
  • Parsley
  • Chives
  • Coriander
  • Cress (optional)

Veg mix

This brilliant mix contains vegetables and is a pot of food all year round.

Use:

  • Onions
  • Garlics
  • Potatoes
  • Leeks
